I believe in personal attention, caring counsel, and smart, tenacious representation. I've been serving Lancaster County as an attorney for more than three decades. I am dedicated to helping individuals and families resolve their legal issues, achieve the best outcome possible and move forward with their lives.
I am a Pennsylvania native. I was born and bred in Pennsylvania and have been living in Lancaster County since 1977. I am a Bucknell University graduate and obtained my law degree in 1975 from the Temple University School of Law. In 1980 I hung out my shingle and opened my own law practice — I have been practicing in Ephrata ever since.
I am committed to my community and am a member of the Allegheny Lutheran Church, the East Cocalico Lions Club, the Denver-Adamstown Rotary Club, and served three years on the board of directors of the Adamstown Area Library. In the mid 1980s, I served as solicitor of West Cocalico Township and the West Cocalico Township Authority. In December of 1988 I became solicitor for the Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, Zoning Hearing Board.
One of my other passions is the American Civil War, upon which I have written and published four books and lectured at numerous Civil War forums.
